Welcome to the Tapas Bar

Opened in December of 2006, the Tapas Bar has already gained popularity among locals and tourists. Our light and flavorful tapas are a great compliment to the rustic surroundings of Casa Isleña. Our orange-ginger sangria is a popular refreshment, plus we have a full bar.

Since opening, The Tapas Bar has acquired the Best Food and Beverage Award from the Puerto Rico Tourism Company, a write-up in Budget Travel Magazine, and great reviews on TripAdvisor. Our menus change based on whatever is fresh and local, and we offer daily & weekly specials. Regular specials include braised lambs shanks, fried whole snappers with mango salsa, lardon salad with duck confit and figs, roast stuffed pork tenderloin, and rabbit liver paté. Click here to see one our recent menus, and here for our new brunch menu.

Occasionally we host cocktail parties, prix-fixe coursed wine dinners, and live music. If you would like to keep up to date about what’s going on (menu changes, culinary experiments, special events), please sign up for our mailing list.

In addition to serving delicious food and drinks, the Tapas Bar is focussed on minimizing our footprint. We use local and organic ingredients when possible. We minimize the use of plastics by encouraging consumption of our filtered water rather than buying bottled water. Our take-out containers are made from biodegradable sugar and corn-based materials. And when we prepare seafood we make sure it has been sustainably harvested.

The restaurant is currently closed for the season. We will reopen with our annual opening party Wednesday, November 9, which will feature bites of our old and new recipes. Our hours for dinner will be Wednesday to Saturday, 5pm to 9pm, and brunch on Sundays from 10am to 2pm. See you soon!
